How we make things

A little clarity behind the creativity.

Three categories, clearly named

We distinguish documented cultural beliefs, facts about real animals or objects, and our own creative inventions. A claim that people believed in magical horns is not a claim that those powers work. A rhinoceros nickname is not evidence for a storybook horse.

Sources you can inspect

Learning guides link to sources actually consulted, including museum collection records and original research where relevant. Sources support the stated factual context; they do not endorse this site or its activities. An activity created here is labeled as original rather than dressed up as research.

Honest authorship

Articles are credited to Unicorn Wonders editorial studio, the publishing identity of this independent project. AI assisted the writing, illustration geometry and code. We do not claim professional teaching credentials, field testing, expert review or lived experiences we cannot substantiate. Publication dates refer to this edition.

Artwork and practical checks

Current artwork is original SVG geometry made for the collection. We provide matching PDF sizes and visible previews. Technical checks cover links, printing and tool behavior; they do not establish classroom effectiveness. Adults should adapt instructions and supervision to the actual people and materials.

Commercial independence

This edition has no paid placements, advertising, affiliate links, checkout or email list. If that changes, the relevant pages and privacy information must be updated. We do not rank products we have not tested as though we had.

Corrections

Source links and distinctions are visible so readers can check a claim. No public correction form or monitored support mailbox is configured in this edition. For the most current factual record, consult the linked institution. The owner maintains the source files and can revise the site when an error is identified.
